March the 11th 1885, Be it known to all men that I Thomas Avery Bratcher of the County of Ohio and state of Kentucky, being sound in mind and fully competent and capable to transact business intelligently and in view of the uncertainty of life and the certainty of death do make this my last will and testament viz: I will and bequeath to my dear wife Margaret A. Bratcher all of my real and personal estate to have and to hold for her own use and benefit during her life After the demise of my wife Margaret A. Bratcher I will to my three sons Harvey C., Joseph, James W. Bratcher the farm on which I now reside on the home farm and to my three sons Cicero M. Robert A. & Charles H. Bratcher my other farm known as the Blain Matthews farm in the division of the two farms I will that they begin in the original line at the N. E. corner of my home farm, thence one West to Hartford and Hardinsburg road. I will to my two unmarried daughter's Ancenca M. and Margaret E. Bratcher an equal amount for each that my three married daughters Laura A. Carby, Luella Baker, and Josephine Bratcher received as marriage portions.  I also will that at the oath of my wife that my six sons, Harvey C. Joseph, James W. Cicero M. Robert A. and Charles H. Bratcher pay to my five daughters, Laura A. Carby, Luella Baker, Josephine Bratcher, Margaret Emma Bratcher and Ancenica M. Bratcher the sum of one hundred and fifty Dollars to be equally divided between my five daughters  I also will and appoint my wife, Margaret A. Bratcher sole of executrix of this my last will and testament without any bond and surety and I hereby pray the court to accept her as such in testimony whereof witness my hand this day and date above written

             The foregoing last will of Thomas A. Bratcher deceased was at this term of Court filed and upon the testimony of C. W. Butler an attesting witness thereto, duly proven and ordered to be recorded which is now done accordingly
