a wreath of green leaves and roses
an unlit gold and silver candle
a large red candle, brazier or bonfire(unlit)
a chalice filled with water
a plate of bread
Incense and burner (the incense should be moonflower, rose, patchouly or musk)
Ritual Tools
Consecrate a circle and call the quarters.
Light the silver candle and recite the following Prayer:
Whose eyes are the stars
Whose breath is the wind
Whose lips flow with honey
Whose hair is the green grass
Whose body is the ripe fields
Whose breasts are the mountains
Now in this Holy time
She whose love is life
Awaken within me to passion
Whose blood is the flowing waters
Whose head is the forest
Whose heart is the wild creatures
Whose body is the green of life
Whose loins plant the seed of life
Now in this Holy time
He whose life is love
Awaken within me to passion
With the silver and gold candles light the red candle(brazier or bonfire) and recite the following Prayer:
Male and Female
Goddess and God
Blessed act of Love
By which all Life is born
In which all Love is made manifest
They whose love is eternal
Awaken within me to passion
Meditate as long as you wish on the Divine Love of the God and Goddess and the Sacred renewal of creation by this act. Put out the candles, release the quarters and close the circle.
After the rite, it is appropriate to spend a night of passion and love with your significant other to celebrate the Holy Union.
*note* the wax from the red candle, or ashes from the bonfire is a potent ingredient for love, fertility and aphrodisiac spells.
