There is no such thing on earth as an uninteresting subject; the only thing that can exist is an uninterested person.---
G.K. Chesterton, Heretics, Ch. 1, 1905.

Or, as I would say to the kids (they hated it) "Only boring people are bored."
My weight is the same. I found myself crying in frustration over that, but then I figured it was really about Bernadette not coming when she said. I should be used to this by now, since she stiffed us for her wedding, and didn't take the opportunity to come help me when her dad was sick or when Gerhard died, and didn't even manage to come last year when she'd promised, not to mention the last three Christmases. I should be grateful she's allowed a day or two, if it actually happens.
We went over to the realtors. There were two offers. One would be full price, $239,000, BUT they wanted the roof fixed, the appliances working (they do) the bathroom fixed, and the windows and screens all in good shape. What is it about "as is" that wasn't clear? Furthermore, they only deposited $1,000 and would be financing all the rest of it. The other offer was for $225,000 but they'd take it as is, were aware of the requirements of OKing it through the Court, and wanted us to pay half the title and transfer fees. I talked to the realtor and counter-offered 232,000 (splitting the difference) and I'd pay all the fees. They own a Ford dealership and will be able to pay up front, too. The realtor hit the phone and we walked around the block to the nature store I used to visit with Gerhard.
There was a duck there, that you push if you're the World's Cutest Toddler, and the feet flap. We have the instructions for this, but Rich will never get around to making it, so now we'll take a duck to Genevieve!
Back at the realtor's, the counter offer was accepted at 11:58 and I signed and initialed at 12:15. I've never had a house sale go so easily. I suspect there's difficulties down the road, because nothing is simple with this estate.
I feel like such a grownup!! (Actually, I feel like I need to ask my mommy if I did the right thing.)
Rich tried to kill us on the way home, by first heading into an occupied lane, then swerving scarily back.
Yay, I found my Zoo pin! I'm putting these on my codger hat, my SUE hat.
