Centaur Sector Receptionist's Desk

You follow the light until you come to a large airlock door. Beside the door are six sets of control screens, each at a different height. The each control screen says 'Press Red Button to Enter'. You press the Red Button on the most convenient screen. The message on the screen says 'Cycling Biohazard Airlock.'

The massive door hisses open. Beyond is a large room with a hoof scarred floor. On the opposite wall is another door with another six sets of control screens. Above the door is a sign that says 'Centaur Sector--Main 1 of 3.' As you enter the room, the door behind you closes.

You go to the opposite door and push the Red Button again. The pressure increases and ultrasonics make your teeth ache as they clean the air about your. Two minutes pass before the heavy door opens to let you into the next chamber.

This airlock chamber is almost identical to the first one. Only the sign 'Centaur Sector--Main 2 of 3' tells you that you are going the right direction. You go into the next chamber and the massive door closes behind you.

Once again you walk across the room and push the red button.

"Please cover your eyes for the duration of the High Intensity Photocleaning," says a female voice as an image on the controll screens does an imitation of the 'see no evil' monkey.

You obey, closing your eyes for good measure. Despite your precautions, you're half blinded by the light.

When the lights dim the massive airlock door hisses open, letting you through to the next airlock. As you leave, the airlock door closes behind you.

'Centaur Sector--Main 3 of 3' is almost identical to the other two airlocks. The only difference is a multilingual warning that people with an allergy to Bio Lab 2750.3 decontamination procedures will be asked to wait in the Rabbit Hole while their bodies recover.

You push the button. The room pressurizes and then fills with a spicy gas. You feel like you're on the edge of a sneeze for the longest time.

Then the massive airlock door hisses open, revealing a large space beyond. You enter this space as a pair of draft horse sized centaurs, a stallion and a mare, enter the airlock. The massive doors hiss shut behind you. New Frontier Bio-Labs--Centaur Sector

Centered at the back of the room is a sign and the receptionist's desk. The desk has several levels of platforms along the front of it. These platforms allow people of various heights to comfortably talk to the receptionist.

"May I help you? asks the receptionist, a bay centaur mare.

You go up to the desk, choosing a platform that allows you to talk to the receptionist without straining your neck. You did out the ID token and say "Misty sent me."

The centaur mare nods and lets her fingers dance over a keyboard. Thirty seconds later a short, young centaur mare comes trotting up.

Noting this warning you decide to (continue onward / return to your vehicle ).
