Art Credits
I like to give credit where credit is due. (Usually in advance, but sometimes...) I also like to help others with useful hints and ideas. That is why this, and other pages like it exist.
The following background images were based on centaur art from Hellenic at the Equine Beauties and the New Equine Beauties sites. Please note that many of the images are of tastefully topless centaur mares. If nudity offends you, please avoid the sites.
Also note that the images and descriptions are linked to the Equine Beauties site as opposed to the New Equine Beauties site. At the time of this writing, both are more or less in synch.
Based on color image NEB16.JPG. Cut and paste with reduction and image conversion. This was a fairly simple conversion using the emboss feature of Corel. It is a reduced 72 x 100 image.
Based on converted image above. A brightness increase to makes it a background that would work with black letters.
Based on converted image above. Further reduction to a 60 x 83 image. This scale doesn't quite work for background.
Based on converted image above. Further reduction to a 43 x 60 image in an attempt to use it as a Geocities banner component.
Based on color image NEB9.JPG. Cut and paste with image conversion. This was a fairly simple conversion using the emboss feature of Corel. It is a (unreduced?) 227 x 312 image. I was trying to get a brownish background to go with the Mountain Man mood of the 'Misty and the Mountain Men' story. Unfortunately, the blacks of the shadows interfere with the letters.
Based on converted image above. A brightness increase and a size reduction makes it a background that would work kind of work with black letters. I had to do some additional image manipulation to deemphasize the shadows. The reduced image is 100 x 137.
Based on converted image above. A brightness increase makes it a background that would work with black letters. The reduced image is 100 x 137.
