Greeting Card Set I - G 06

" Fluttering Fortunes"
Kyoto, Kyoto-Fu

Omikuji is a method of fortune-telling commonly practiced in the New Year. The seekers of best wishes draw sticks from a container in exchange for paper fortunes. Unfavourable tidings are often tied on a string and left behind.

" Fluttering Fortunes" is one in a series of photographs depicting life in Japan. As an artist, I enjoy the hands-on experience of painting directly on my prints. By highlighting the focal points, I’m able to present an image that’s unique and distinguishable from coloured photographs.
Greeting cards are ¥250 each.
