Greeting Card Set II - G 09

" Fan(t)Asia"

Fans were traditionally used in Japan by both men and women. The earliest fans, introduced to Japan from China via Korea, had a variety of purposes: ceremonial, decorative or utilitarian. Although frames were usually made out of bamboo, ivory was found at the hands of the wealthy.

" Fan(t)Asia" is one in a series of illustrations depicting life in Japan. As an artist, I enjoy the experience of combining my interests in graphics, drafting and cartooning. I use my illustrations to visually document the festivals, landmarks and people I encounter in this amazing country.
Greeting cards are ¥250 each.
