This train car gives us a glimpse into the old and new of Japan. We can see the kimono-clad women gossiping about the tea ceremony they just attended. In the background, there’s a well-dressed businessman talking on his cell phone. Another businessman fell asleep...I hope he doesn’t miss his stop!

" Did You Hear?" is one in a series of illustrations depicting life in Japan. As an artist, I enjoy the experience of combining my interests in graphics, drafting and cartooning. I use my illustrations to visually document the festivals, landmarks and people I encounter in this amazing country.

Greeting cards are ¥250 each.
