This product was one of my many concepts that I brought to reality. It was modified slightly from its original version to suit the requirements of Ikea. In this piece, a user would be able to configure an empty room (move walls, add doors and windows, choose floor styles) so that it would resemble a room in their home. Then, various pieces of furniture could be loaded into the room and interactively placed in whichever configuration that the user desired. Various colors and patterns could be applied to the pieces of furniture as well and through out the entire process, the user would be able to reconfigure and change any aspect of the design. All of the models, textures and other artwork were created entirely by me including the first real-time reflections to appear in this type of 3d content. I am also responsible for the user interface, as well as all back end handling of the loading and unloading of the objects. This application was later imitated by a number of competitors.
