Justine Sorel was born about 1825, probably somewhere in Quebec Provence in Canada. On August 19, 1845, she married Edouard Louis Sorel, her father's sister's grandson, in Napierville, Quebec, Canada.
We know of two children of Justine and Edouard: Peter Sorell (using the spelling on his tombstone), and Marie Sorel, "who married a Mr. Bisnette". There may have been others.
Edouard (and Justine?) moved from Canada to Illinois in 1858 when Peter was but 2 years old, and sometime before 1881 settled in the Concordia, Cloud County, Kansas area.
Edouard died on February 11, 1900, in St. Joseph, Cloud County, Kansas; we are not certain where Justine died.
