Human Waste Attacks!

Re: HWP :)

OH MY GOD THE SHOW WAS GREAT!!!! When HWP came on I was like the only one singing my heart out, that I noticed, but then again I focused on the bandonly. I was dancing and jumping to their music. I loved it. The best was when they broke into 'Powerstrip'... that is such a good song. So energetic live! I was so happy to see them. I tried my hardest to get Aimee's attention but she didn't seem to look my way and I was pretty close up. It was so great though. And the support from the other bands that spoke about HWP during their sets were great too. I really hope HWP gets picked up by a label that'll take care of them. I also got an HWP shirt, finally! :) Oh yeah, because of singing I lost my voice completely. **hehe** How does Aimee do it!? :) I had a greattime, tell the band that they put on a hell of a show and that I totally love them! I feel so happy that I saw them live. I can't wait to see them again! Peace,

HWP at Clutch Cargo's
Detroit
May 15th, 1998

Hola!! Friday, on May 15th, I went to the Coal Chamber/Sevendust/Human Waste Project/Dayinthelife show! It was AMAZING! Clutch Cargos is a great place to see a show, due to the small size.. it has a very personal one-on-one feel to it. Here's a breakdown of the show.
Dayinthelife
I hadn't really heard any material from these guys before i saw em, but I had heard of them a few times. I must admit.. as opening acts go, they weren't that bad. I think the bass drums were micced up a bit too loudly, but they put on a pretty decent show.
HUMAN WASTE PROJECT
After Dayinthelife finished their set, I ran right up to the front of the venue and awaited HWP. I was right up next to the stage.. I was pretty pumped. Jeff and another guy were setting up the stage. They opened the show with Shine, which is really cool live. Aimee shook my hand during one part in the song.. that was cool, too. The set wasn't too awful long, but wasn't too short, either. They played all of my favorites.. and I think the highlight was when they played Exit Wound. HWP is definitely a live band. The CD is great - but it doesn't compare with the live experience (although Aimee's vocals were a weren't always audible over the rest of the instruments.. something in the mixing, i guess). It was just amazing. I loved these guys before, and I love em even more, now.
Sevendust
I was so hot and sweaty after HWP that I almost passed out, so I quickly made my way to the back of the venue to get some water and air. Sevendust's lighting effects were pretty cool, and are as HWP, a live band.
They translate very well live and work well with the audience. Definitely a good band - very heavy, artistic and fun.
COAL CHAMBER
I found a spot right up front and center before Coal Chamber went on. It took em forever to set up the stage, but it was worth it. They started out with Sway. After Sway, during Big Truck, everyone up front started going nutz, thus making it a very brutal concert. I have a good number of bruises, now :) They played two new songs, one called "Anxiety", and the other I can't quite remember, but they were cool. I'm excited for the new album. They ended with Loco, I bought my shirt, satisfied with all the bands, and stepped outside the venue.
After the show, I went over to Human Waste Project's RV and knocked on the door. Jeff opened it up, and I told him I was Mark, their Street Teamer for Michigan.. he invited me in, and I drank a Coke with him and one of the Roadies. We shot the breeze for about 10 minutes, then I ran to my car and fetched my E-Lux CD Sleev for signing. When I got back to the RV, Jeff had about 5 people around him, talking to him. I eventually got the sleeve signed, and right after that, Scott and Aimee showed up. I talked to Scott while Aimee was getting pictures taken with a few people, and got him to sign the Sleeve as well. Aimee walked towards me, and I introduced myself as the Street eamer and all that. She seemed pretty happy that I helped out with promoting, and signed my Sleeve as well. Next, I told her that you'd told me to say "Sparkle", and she smiled and laughed. I think she said something about that being from mom, or something. Aimee gave me a hug and thanked me for helping out with the promoting, and then stepped on the RV. I said my final goodbyes to everyone and complimented them on an excellent show. They were all really nice, down-to-earth, friendly people.
I can't wait until they come back - I look forward to hanging with em again. HUMAN WASTE PROJECT ROCKS!!!

HWP Show!!!!

i had the most incredible time of my life. i snuck in a camera and snagged mad pix of the band on stage. before they went on though i met scott and mike. they were both cool as hell. i got both their autographs and shook their hands. after their set i went back and bought a shirt and saw scott again. we held a steady conversation for like 15 minutes. then i left to go see 7 dust. after 7 dust i hooked up with mike cox of coal chamber, got his signature, and chatted for a bit. coal chamber completely rocked the house. i got some pix of them but they are kinda shitty. the show ended and i still didn't see aimee. scott said, and so did you, to check the merch booth after the show, so i did and bam she's there.....and nobody else is around her. i was like these people are fucking stupid. i went up to her and asked for her autograph, got, and took a quick picture. we chatted for a bit and then my ride home said we gotta go. i'm like hold on, he said c'mon dude or i'll leave you here. so i had to part with thy beloved aimee but not before she gave me a big fat hug. i nearly shit myself. needless to say i slept very well that night. sorry so long man.
steve
p.s. scott even invited me to come onto the rv. but i lost him and never caught back up with him.
