Views of Taranaki
A few shots from around Taranaki that I thought where worth putting online but didn't
fit in any other section...

Two pictures, the first taken from Paritutu rock in New Plymouth looking toward Mt Egmont
(also known as Mt Taranaki), the second is from the foothills of Egmont looking back at
New Plymouth and Paritutu rock..(Clever huh?)

Another mountain view from down the coast at one of the surfing reefs south of Okato.

A sunset over New Plymouth. Taken as a tropical storm travelling down the East Coast threw
some unusual cloud patterns over our way. Just taken on the street outside work.

The mouth of the Tapuae Stream, a few miles south of New Plymouth, on a nice spring
afternoon.

The Stony River flows from the western slopes of Mt Egmont

Another view from further up the river.

A fur seal on the rocks near the port, better photo's now I've got a new lens. This is a
young one making the most of the afternoon sun.

A larger bull seal eyes me up to make sure I'm not coming any closer.
