Hardiness: Hardy to 15 degrees; Zones 8b-9-10
Growth: Fairly rapid growth to 5 feet with lesser spread
Form: Upright and open
Leaves: Compound with 6-8 needlelike, one inch gray leaflets
Flowers: Clusters of 1/2" yellow flowers in spring and summer
Fruit or Seeds: Two inch brown pods in summer and fall
Exposure: Full sun
Water: Water deeply once a month in summer
Soil: Must be well drained
Fertilizer: NPK in spring if desired
Prune: Head back and thin after flowering
Problems: Root and crown rot if soil does not drainOpen, feathery look for drought tolerant landscapes. Short lived shrub with a long season of bloom.
