Hardiness: Hardy in USDA Zones 9 and 10
Growth: Medium growth rate; reaches 2 to 3 feet high
Form: Low mound or cushion with an 8 foot spread
Leaves: Dense, one inch, green above, gray below, roundish
Flowers: Half inch, bell shaped, Nov-Apr, light pink
Fruit or Seeds:
Exposure: Sun at coast; sun or half shade inland; no reflected heat
Water: Little water needed once established
Soil: Good drainage a must
Fertilizer: Lightly in spring (optional)
Prune: Head back to control shape
Problems: Root rot if overwatered

Used in mass plantings as a ground cover. Valuable in shrub borders too for their contrast in foliage color with other shrubs and for their long winter bloom.
