Hardiness: Sensitive to frost; protect from prolonged freeze
Growth: Moderate rate of growth to 5 feet, usually less
Form: Globular and symmetrical
Leaves: Glossy, succulent, 1-2 inches long
Stems: Succulent
Flowers: Pink clusters; peak of bloom in the winter
Exposure: Full sun or part shade; does well in the heat
Water: Little needed; let go dry between waterings
Soil: Well drained sand or loam is best
Fertilizer: Lightly in the fall
Prune: Thin to show structure; head back to control size
Problems: Root rot if over-watered

Excellent plant. Easy to grow from cuttings. There is a great deal of variation in Jade Plant. Dwarf and variegated varieties are available. Flower color ranges from almost white to light red. Leaf margins turn red in cold weather.
