Soil: Well drained; likes sandy soils
Fertilizer: Not needed
Prune: Thin and cut back side branches to keep low
Problems: Twig borers; root rot in wet soils'Pacific Blue' has a light bluish cast and is heat tolerant. 'Emerald Green' has light green foliage. An excellent ground cover that does not look much like other junipers. Give it plenty of room to spread. Some dieback at center may occur in older plants.
