MY LIFE IN THAILAND
Written Furtively by John Irvin No. 28 June 24, 2002
Hello out there! To my new readers, welcome! To the rest, welcome back!
A lot of people who have read this website before are probably wondering exactly what in the hell has happened to me, where I went, why, and so forth. Some of you may even wonder if I am dead (not very likely, but it's a possibility). You probably wonder if the story has ended and if there will ever be any more newsletters again.
Well, I am happy to report that I am not (yet) dead, but unfortunately I have left Thailand... temporarily. Temporarily for a few years.
I live in the U.S. now. I am very busy, but I am not going to go into what my life is like here. Let's just say that I have some personal stuff to take care of here, and it may take a few years.
When my secret mission in the U.S. is fulfilled, I intend to return to Thailand and live there until I am bent and old. In the meantime, I will try to put up some occasional pages now and then, about Thai life, my memories of places, people, and the like.
Those of you who want to say hello, feel free to write. I apologize that due to the sensitve nature of my undercover work, I don't always have time to answer every email, but I try. (Warning in advance: I do not give information on trekking or hotels, and my advice on employment is basically to come here and inquire in person.)
I look forward to continuing our friendship on the web.
