I am rather proud of these bird pictures. They were
actually taken with a totally manual 35mm camera. That means I had
to adjust the F stop, shutter speed, and focus in order to capture the
subjects. I used a 400mm telephoto lens with a doubler attached.
I perched my camera on an old aluminum tripod with the legs fully extended
and climbed up on a wobbly footstool to see into the view finder.
All in all, it was sort of a miracle.
