Waterberg Plateau Park

It was never in my plan to visit the park. However, the fear of having another punctured tire in the remote, C and D graded roads  around Spitzkoppe, Brandberg and Twyfelfontein left me with many free days in Swokopmund. So I decided to drive to Etosha using the B roads and stop by Waterberg for a day.
The park has some rare and endangered species like the black rhinos. We took an afternoon game drive organised by MET.  It was such a nice feeling to be chauffeured around after 2 weeks of self drive. No more worries of the car breaking down and we could concentrate on the game.
We stayed in a nice self-catering bungalows and prepared some of the meals ourselves.

First we saw a giraffe...

...then a  rhino that charged towards our vehicle.

We climbed up to the plateau the next morning...

...and saw this smiling rock hyrax!
