Welcome to Karel's guitar world!
As I said, I'm a (wannabe) guitar player. A natural cause of my general love of music is wanting to be able to play an instrument. Took up classical guitar for some years when I was 18, stopped for some not-so-relevant-here reasons, dabbled in other things (keyboards, bass guitar) and late last year (1997) I decided to take it up again (including lessons). I'm pretty fanatical about it (it's the second love of my life... don't ask *lol*).
Right now I play rhythm guitar (and some lead) in a not-too-good band... that's OK with me though, it matches my current level of playing (which does go up by playing in a band, I can recommend it. It's great fun as well!)

I suffer seriously from what's known as GAS (Gear Acquisition Syndrome): an infliction that makes the sufferer buy guitars and related equipment and stuff without being able to do anything about it. (There's something called AAS (Amplifier Acquisition Syndrome) too; I count myself lucky not to have caught that bug (yet...)).
