Midi entitled "A Whole New World"

Visitor's Paw Prints Page 15

These two kitties belong to Sue from Rochester, NY. They are two of my most favorite puddytats. So, this whole page belongs to them. Enjoy!

THIS IS "ZONKER" AND "MAX"

Sue has this to say about Zonker and Max.....
My cats are very important to my life. They helped me get through a very bad marriage/separation & divorce. They are always there to MEOW! a hello, purr in my ear at 3:00 am, and rule my house for me.

AND, THIS IS SUE'S "ZONKER"

Sue writes this about Zonker.
When I adopted him 9 years ago, he was the runt of the litter, and was only 8 weeks old. He was so little that he couldn't jump on the bed from the floor. What a devil he was as a kitten - he would stay at the end of the hall, and then run at full speed toward me & attach himself onto my back with all 4 sets of claws! He has matured into one beautiful, large cat. He now weighs 11 pounds. He wakes me up in the am by giving me whisker kisses on my cheek. He was diagnosed w/kidney failure a month ago, and is doing quite well with subQ fluids & prescription diet. He is my baby, I dread the day his kidneys can no longer function.

THIS IS SUE'S "MAX"

Now for the Max monster - I adopted Max in 1992 because he was on his way to the Humane Soc. His owners were allergic, and couldn't keep him. I had always wanted a Russian Blue, but would not buy one, and Max looks like a blue, so I took him in. He was an adult cat, so I think he's about 7-8 yrs. old. He is a lover!

This cat is ALWAYS purring, he has such a funny disposition - he loves belly rubs, he's always laying in my lap, and loves to chase Zonker. He had the nerve to teach Zonker all of his bad habits - climbing on the counters, tipping over the garbage can, and meowing for no reason, at all hours. He loves to greet people as they come in the house. I have dubbed him "Max the Butler!"

When I adopted Max, Zonker hated him!! There was much hissing & spitting during the first couple of weeks. But Max put Zonk in his place. Max basically said "Look, I live here now, too. Get used to it, or this will get real ugly! Get over yourself, Zonker." It worked. Zonker slowly came around to accepting Max as another household member.
