Written by his meowmie, Tracy... I recently lost my cat. He was killed by two dogs from another neighborhood on my neighbors lawn. His name was (is) Shadow, I will miss him terribly. He was just like a kid, I would ask him how his day was and he would say "meow". I would say, 'Tell me about it' and he would say "Meowmow meeoowww!". I felt he could really understand me and he always knew when I was sad or hurt, he would not leave my side. He turned a year old in May and did not deserve to die like that or at all. I will always love him, I created a memorial in the garden by the tall flowers he tried to hide behind, thinking we couldn't see him. Imagine that, a big, fluffy black cat trying to hide behind tall white daisies! I have no picture of him as the disposible camera I had developed was lost by the processors. His memory will always be with me, I still cry when I see the daisies, but it is getting better. If you could print this in your rainbow bridge memorial, I would be forever grateful. I wish everyone knew Shadow like I did, he would have touched their hearts. I love you Shadow. Tracy Ehli June 29th, 1998 I asked Tracy for a little background on her Rainbow Angel, Shadow. This is what she wrote... My husband and I bought a house in November of 97 and felt we needed a pet to roam around. I went down to the humane society and into the cat section. As I headed to the new kitten cage, I heard a big "MEOW" and then "BONK". I turned around and there you were, Shadow, of course I didn't know that at the time, but you were definitely trying to get my attention by bonking your head into the side and on top of the cage. I really wanted a baby kitten, so I went back to looking at them and then I heard this "rattle, rattle, rattle", I turned around again and sure enough, you were trying to open the door on the cage, with your teeth, paws and even toes. I went over to your cage and you stood stock still, looked into my eyes and put one paw between the bars of the cage and curled it around my finger. I knew then that I better take you home!! You came home on January 15th, 1998. Shadow, you acted as if you belonged there. You did. You turned a year old in May and were killed shortly thereafter. You brightened my life like I imagine no one else could, you actually answered back when I spoke to you. You had this trick where you would sit in front of me where I was standing, and then you would jump up onto my chest, I am 5'9, so you can jump quite a ways up!! I am going to start an internet business called Shadows Place. I could never forget you, but this way others will know you too. I love you Shadow. Mommy P.S. I hope there are daisies around for you to hide behind, as if no one could see that huge fluffy black tail of yours!! The Daisies for this page were provided by Rev.
