Dad's Superburgers

This is my favorite burger recipe for the grill. I took a basic James Beard recipe and added a few ingredients that really make these burgers scrumptious. The only downside of this recipe is that you can forget about ever serving your kids plain 'ole cheeseburgers again!

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds chopped chuck or top round (use 80% lean for best results)
  • 1 cup grated sharp Chedder cheese
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon Tabasco
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce (or 1 teaspoon salt)
  • 2 finely chopped garlic cloves
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons Old Bay Seasoning or seasoning mix of your choice (optional)
  • {heading}{heading2}

Directions

  • Mix all ingredients together thoroughly and form into patties. Notice that the cheese is in the burger, so you don't need to add a a slice of cheese on top.

  • Cook for about eight minutes, turning the burgers once at the half-way point. Do not press down on the burgers with your spatula while you're cooking them.
