Day 2: The contractors have come in and boy are they fast! They already have the bathroom framed and the plumbing and electricity run. Tomorrow they will be finishing up the bathroom and maybe start working on replacing all of the windows. |

Day 3: I'm afraid there's no pictures for this day. The contractors sheetrocked and put a floor in the bathroom. Over the weekend, Nicole and I finished up some trim work that we had negelected downstairs from part one of the remodeling project. |
---|
Day 4: The contractor installed five of the new windows yesterday. He still has yet to put the trim work around them. It sure will be nice to be rid of those drafty old windows. I promise some more pictures for tomorrow. |
---|
Day 5: Here are some pictures of a couple of the new windows with casings. There is also a picture of our new bathroom with a floor. This morning we put our bed from downstairs upstairs. Easy you say? Not if it won't go up the stairs and you have to put it through a second story window. Check back tomorrow for pictures of us putting it through the window. | ![]() |

Day 6: As I promised, here is a picture of the bed going through the upstairs window. They were able to get a few more window casings done yesterday as well. Now there are only two more left to do. He will also be working more on the bathroom vanity today. He hopes to have it all wrapped up by Friday. | ![]() |

Day 7: The contractor finished up with the window casings and has the bathroom vanity all framed out. He is making it from scratch. Now we have to go out and buy a counter top, sink, faucet, toilet, medicine cabinet, overhead lighting...where does it all end?? |

Day 8: Here is a picture of the job foreman. He can be pretty bossy when he wants to be. Also, there are a couple of pictures of the new bathroom vanity that the contractor made from scratch. Now all it needs is a counter top, sink, and faucet. The top comes in next week and then they will be back to install it for us. | ![]() |

Day 9: Over the weekend we were able to install two more of the doors on the bedroom, get up some of the trim work, and prepare the bedroom walls for wallpaper. It's a good thing it was cold outside because we spent the entire weekend indoors. | ![]() |

Weekend of
February 21-22: This past weekend Nicole and I did some more trim work around the doors upstairs and painted the ceilings in the hallway and master-bedroom. This isn't as easy as it sounds because we opted for the textured look, which doesn't just roll on like regular paint. |

Weekend of
February 28-March 1: This past week the contractor came back and installed the counter top in the bathroom and installed the sink and toilet. We now have a working bathroom upstairs. He also tied in the heat duct so we also have heat upstairs. On Saturday the electrician came in and installed overhead lights in each of the rooms. After he left we did some more trim work and rebuilt one of the closet door frames. | ![]() |

Weekend of
March 14-15: I was able to finish up just about all of the woodwork in the master bedroom. We should be ready to begin wallpapering very soon. I still have a little more trim work and two closet openings to re-do in the smaller bedrooms but they will have to wait until I can get at them. Right now there is too much stuff piled in the two rooms. |
---|
Weekend of
March 21-22: We got quite a bit done this past weekend. We wallpapered the hallway and stairway, put another coat of polyurethane on the woodwork and installed a ceiling fan in the master bedroom. Things should really start to come together now. |

Weekend of
March 28-29: Another very promising weekend. We once again accomplished quite a bit. We papered the master-bedroom, finished up the trim work in the stairway, and built and hung a light for the bathroom. Things are really starting to look good. The pictures shown are before Nicole put on the borders. I'll have to get some shots of the finished look. |

Weekend of
April 4-5: We did a lot more polyurethaning and trim work. I also rebuilt the closet opening in the smaller bedroom...one more to go! I have to finish the other one this weekend because the carpet guys are coming on the 13th! It will be a busy upcoming weekend. |
---|
April 13: Yahoo! We have carpet. The old house looks great. They will be coming back on Thursday to do the two smaller bedrooms. We have been busy the past couple of days moving into our new home. Nicole and I love it. |
