This Indenture the 30th day of November 1756 between Richard Holland of Beaufort County, province of North Carolina & Amarila his wife, Thomas Williams & Sarah his wife of the one part & Luke Mounce of the county & province afs'd;

Witnefseth Whereas William Sigby by virtue of a patent dated 17th April 1724 & transferred by him to Robert Turner & by him to James Singleton, and by him mortgaged to the treasurer & by him to Richard Holland in the year 1741 & said Holland by deed to Thomas Williams dated 29th May 1745.

Bounded by Tranters Creek Tranters Creek (sic 2) shing (branch) branch beaver dam, containing 70 acres & further s'd Thomas Williams by deed from Earl Granville containing 328 acres as recorded page 272.

Now this Indenture Witnefseth, that Richard Holland, Amarillo his wife Thomas Williams & Sarah his wife in consideration of seventy seven pounds ten shillings Proc: money to the said Richard Holland & Thomas Williams in hand by Luke Mounce before the delivery hereof the rct. We hereby acknowledge & have by these presents have given granted bargained & sold & do by these presents sell convey confirm afsign and set over unto Luke Mounce his heirs afsigns all that parcel of land bounded at a cypress in the mouth of a gum on the No side of Tranters Creek & up the creek various courses to Beaver Dam creek & various courses of s'd creek to the mouth of Iron Mine Branch to a corner pine, then a line of marked trees # 20 S 200 poles to a pine Hollands corner on White Oak Swamp then South to a pine, thence west northerly 72 poles to a water oak Williams' corner, then a south course to the first stations, containing 180 acres; and all houses, orchards fences hereditiments, appurtenances whatsoever & all the estate claims & demands of Richard Holland and Thomas Williams in and to the bargained premises unto the said Luke Mounce his heirs & afsigns forever.

To have and to hold said land & all the premises & appurtenances hereby unto the afs'd Luke Mounce his heirs & afsigns forever, to his & their use under the annual quit rents due and the said Richard Holland & Amerita his wife & Thomas Williams & Sarah his wife & any of their heirs the said tract of land premises & appurtenances hereby granted or intended to be granted unto the said Luke Mounce his heirs and afsigns against the said Richard Holland & Amarilla his wife & Thomas Williams and his wife & their & each living of their heirs & against all persons whatsoever lawfully claiming any right to the premises shall & will warrant forever defend by these presents, & that the said Luke Mounce his heirs & afsigns at all times hereafter shall hold pofsefs & enjoy the said land & premises without let or molestation from any person whatsoever, aforesaid quit rents only excepted & said Richard Holland & Thomas Williams & their heirs at any time hereafter, at the proper cost of Luke Mounce his heirs & afsigns do & execute any other reasonable conveyance as shall be advised by his or their council in the law required.
