Forer (leader of D.N.S.A.P.):
Born: 1893 in Abenraa, North Schleswig, Denmark.
Died: 1945, of heart attack while awaiting trial.
Positions Held:
Leader of Danmarks National-Socialistiske Arbejder Parti (D.N.S.A.P.- Denmark's National-Socialist Workers Party): 1933-May 1944 (Joined the party in 1931). Persuaded to step down by the German Plenipotentiary in Copenhagen, SS-OGruf. Dr. Werner Best. Party leadership again assumed by a 3-man committee.
Notes:
Educated in Germany. Served in German Army during World War I. Graduated as doctor of medicine from University of Heidelberg, 1924. Practiced medicien in Abenraa. Entered politics, first joining The Free Peoples Party (generally known as The Peasants' Party). Disenchanted with that party's leaders, the alcoholic, boisterous Clausen joined the Danish Nazi Party (established in 1930) in 1931. Rose to become the partys leader in 1933, following the ousting of its 3-member committee (Einar Jorgensen, C. C. Hansen, and C. Lembcke).
