FIRST APPEARANCE: Fathom Preview Special 1998

A water enthusiast with no memories of her life before the age of 11. Her first recollections are aboard the cruise ship, Paradise, which had mysteriously reappeared after being missing for about 10 years. Now a marine biologist, Aspen's dream research assignment has plunged her into a host of mysteries involving the U.S. military, an enigmatic liquid creature and a race of underwater beings, all of which may unlock the keys to her past - and future.

With her link to the strange underwater alien race, Aspen has discovered that she has several newfound water related abilities. Her bones have the flexibility and structure of a 14 year olds, even though she is in her twenties. Aspen has so many alveoli in her lungs, she has roughly five times the lung capacity of an Olympic swimmer. Aspen is able to change her molecular stucture into water and can mold water into projectile weapons. Aspen can also boil water inside your body, or, remove it altogether.
