For those of us who have children who are grown or almost grown, sometimes we have trouble "Letting Go" or more importantly, realizing it is time to "let go." Sometimes it is very painful to watch ones we love make some of the same mistakes we made, and some of their own, too.
Yet, it is something we must do to ensure their growth.

LETTING GO
The saga of parenting, centuries old,
Still causes ponder, still plagues the soul,
You diaper their bottoms, your teach them to wipe,
You help with their homework, get them ready for life,
Each age has its drawbacks, each age has its joys,
From the excitement of teens, back to the toys.
But the time comes for all when a parent must heed
The words of their parents, "You’ve planted the seed,
Helped it to grow, but it’s time to let go,
go on with your life."
They’ll make it themselves, but not without strife,
But their mistakes that they make, must be their own,
You’ve raised them, you’ve loved them, and now they are grown.
