Hope you enjoy the poem below - I wrote this before I ever went on-line, but was experiencing the fun of a computer (other than work, of course *grins*).

MY COMPUTER

Bored and listless, my mind seeks refuge, Brainless - yet not totally so Time consuming - completely Fulfilling - not really Satisfying needs - Yes. It’s Tri-Peaks again! The computer, my friend shares weekends with me. It speaks when I’m lonely, it sings when I’m sad. Imparts skills for my work, yields knowledge of past, Offers creative tools to challenge the mind. To paint and to draw, to write and to rhyme. Even answers my phone and then beeps my pager. The computer my friend even plays games with me. The crosswords with pictures, and clues asked of me, The puzzles with hints, obliques or in squares. With Blackjack I seek to win more than the house And Solitaire, yes, when I am alone I play it for money, it’s a cost I can pay. The games, they are endless - Attack Sub and Risk, with strategy strong, The Wheel keeps on spinning with Vanna and prizes. And Jeopardy seeks to boggle your brain. Free Cell’s a challenge and Mindsweep’s a gas. But time after time, it’s Tri-Peaks again. The computer my friend, it’s more than a friend. It’s the tool of today, with ties for tomorrow.
