Fabulous Ihagee flash unit

Description of the lot

Ihagee Flash Gun . Battery case is 8 1/4 inches, 11 inches overall. 6-inch reflector. Very impressive piece. Professional quality. There are a few of the faintest marks on the chrome reflector, but all else is truly Mint/unused. No dents or dings anywhere. Woven cord with sync plug is as-new. Brushed chrome is untouched. Massive head assembly rotates back and forth at the cylinder head and also swivels up and down at joint just below its base. Oversized clamp easily holds bulbs with Edison base. Behind the head there is a twin-pin connector, probably for non-Ihagee cameras. I have never seen one of these units before, and so, am unfamiliar with its precise application with the long line of Ihagee cameras. I have not used this flash unit, but there is no corrosion and all the contacts are clean, so I would bet that it works. Simply gorgeous: the most beautifully styled vintage flash I have ever seen!

Ihagee projector

Description of the lot

Designed for both film strip and slides, this sophisticated, compact projector by Ihagee is a beautiful combination of pre-war German inventiveness and Deco design.
The case serves a a stand for the projector: unclasp the case and swing the bottom all the way over until it is sitting on the top of the box. Projector swivels from side to side and is elevated by large set-screw. Lens is 75mm/2.5 Laack Rathenow in nice chrome mount. Condensor and adjustable mirror. Bulb appears unused. Removeable film gate also serves as the carrier for individual slides. Mask for 1/2 frame slides is also included. Two knobs advance film strip: on is indexed for 35mm. the other is not indexed. Most unusual, is the swiveling projector head to accomodate vertical or horizontal shots. Condition of this piece is near perfect. There is a fine hairline crack on the base, just below the projector head (visible only upon very close inspection and not serious.) Also, the cord is old and needs replacing. Aside from that, the projector is just Minty! No chips, scratches, or dents (what appears to be a scratch along the rear section in the photos was actually just some wax which later rubbed off.) Projector measures only 6 1/2 inches tall and 8 inches long. All bakelite. A clever, attractive design.

Taika Harigon 50/1,2

Description of the lot

I never had this lens in my hands but I do not wish to pay the $550 reserve price for it. In the past I saw another one sold for a little more than 300 dollars. In the same auction a Kine round magnifier has been sold for 625 dollars.

Taika Super Coligon 200/2,8

Description of the lot

The reserve price for this lot was 300 dollars. In the same auction there was a Exakta Jr in very nice condition at 275 dollars. If I had to choose between the camera and this lens I'd not have had any doubt, the camera! I know that if you wish a lens you want to buy that lens, but sometimes it is necessary to protect our investment.
