DESCRIPTION:
The PowerZapper extends the range of remote controls
of audio/visual, security and other home automation equipment. The PowerZapper
allows the original remote control (or a universal remote control)
to be used in a different room to the equipment, without direct
line of sight - a useful help for the disabled. The infrared signal
from the equipment remote control is detected by one of the PowerZapper's
bedroom units (special bathroom and garden units soon also available).
This signal is then relayed via the mains to the PowerZapper's
living room unit which transmits an identical control signal,
thereby making all equipment in the room believe the remote control
had been used in the living room (or wherever the entertainment
center is located in the house).
