We stayed at home, we sweated and we won eventually - not exactly veni vedi vici, but it will do..... thanks to anything Italian and we should
all eat pasta for a week.... Seriously it was exactly the sort of win which we needed and which we
need many times over this season if we want to be near top come May. Dalla Bona was undoubtedly the major plus of the day, but it actually gave me
more pleasure to see the fury in Marcel Desailly's face after we conceded
the tractor goal.... with those emotions from The Rock we do have a chance.....
For once I went to the game all by myself, and thoroughly enjoyed it after
having had a few in the Fine Line with my new boss, who then proceeded to
offer me a lift in his limo two hundred yards down the road... I did feel
refreshed.. it reminded me of the day a couple of years ago when we pulled
up outsde a McDonalds somewhere near Old Trafford in a stretch limo
ordering big macs... it was the culinary highlight of the evening, but that's
Manshister for you... Another interesting point was the view expressed by some sad soul that
Hasselbaink is actually stopping anybody else scoring.... not such a stupid
point as it sounds.... goals are good, but don't intimidate the rest of the
boys... Franco getting 2 in 2 might redress the balance a bit and
give the rest a bit more confidence... I am not a statistican, but does Eidur
score more with or without Jimmy on the pitch. I'm sure some anorak will have
the answer... All in all a good day... we need more... let's hope the Germans do the the biz
against the Ukraine - well that's my point of view anyway..... Ciao
