FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Check here before writing to us, folks!
Q: When is Pseudo Echo playing in my area? Why don't they ever come to my city/town? Could you ask them to play in my local pub next weekend? Etc etc etc.
A: The band does not book its own gigs - all shows are booked by booking agencies. If the agent can't get them a gig in your city, there's little the band can do about it. There was one tour in Queensland that was largely organised by the efforts of fans (one very keen one in particular!), but it tooks HOURS of time and cost a fortune in phone calls to do it (and even then it all had to go through the booking agent)! Shows are generally not booked more than a few weeks in advance (occasionally a bit longer), and as soon as they are confirmed they will be listed on this website's News & Gigs page. If there is only one show listed, there is only one show booked. I can't tell you if they will be playing in the city you will be visiting on your trip next year (don't laugh, I have had this enquiry more than once!). If you know of a venue that would be interested in having PE or the "Idols of the 80s" show play there, e-mail me and I'll put you in touch with the right agent.
Q: I heard
the song "His Eyes" when I saw the movie "Friday The 13th Part
5" - where can I find it?
A:
It's on PE's first album
(called "Autumnal Park" in Australia and New Zealand and "Pseudo
Echo" everywhere else).
Q: Where can I get the "Autumnal Park" / "Pseudo Echo" album on CD? A:
Almacantar
Records in the US has just released a remastered CD of this album!
Copies can be ordered direct from them. They also have two other new
Pseudo Echo releases, Autumnal Park Live and 301 Demo
Sessions. Q: I've heard there's a video - what's it called and where can I get it? A:
It's called "Pseudo
Flicks". It's a collection of all the video clips from 1982 - 1989,
plus a couple of songs from a live show. As for getting hold of a copy,
you'd be very, very lucky to find one now, it's as rare as hens' teeth!
Keep an eye on secondhand dealers and auction sites like eBay,
but don't hold your breath! Q: Can I get copies of videos from you then? A: Unfortunately we aren't able to supply copies of any video material (sorry). |

Q: Do you have the lyrics to...
A: Yes, you can find all the lyrics to all the songs in the Discography section.
Q: Where can I find a MIDI file of "Funkytown"?
A: I don't have any direct links, but if you try a search on 'Funkytown' or 'Funky Town' with any of the larger search engines such as Google you'll probably find one.

Q: What are James and Vince Leigh doing now? A: The Leigh brothers have played together in every band since Pseudo Echo - Bainzy Leigh, The Tina Arena Band and more recently with their brother Gerry in Vertigo. Their last band was Invertigo which had some success in Australia before singer Christian Argenti left in February 2003. Update! James has been playing with the "Idols of the 80s" shows and I asked him what was happening - Invertigo are still together, they have finally found a new singer and are currently doing demos, so watch out for them, they will be back! The band's website is down at the moment but as soon as it's back up I'll re-post the link. |
