Between 1960 and 1992 (forced retirement), Professor in Under-Graduate and Graduate Level Courses (within the fields of Portuguese and Children's Literature). Within the decade of 1961-1971, Professor in the field of Literary Theory (UNESP, Marília). From 1992 on, Guest Professor in the field of Portuguese Literature; Compared Studies between Literatures in the Portuguese Language and Children's Literature, at a Graduate Level, tutoring Masters Degree Dissertations and Doctoral Theses.

Three month apprenticeship in Portugal (1964/ research for the Doctoral Theses) with a grant from the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation; Three month apprenticeship in Portugal (1971/ research for the College Professorship Degree) with a grant from the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. Fourth month apprenticeship in the United States, with a grand from the Fulbright Foundation, for research on contemporary literature, and hired by the University of California at Los Angeles - UCLA to teach a course on Brazilian Culture and Literary Critique.
