WADE A. FAIRCLOTH
World War II Veteran

BAINBRIDGE, Ga.-- Wade A. Faircloth died in Bainbridge Memorial Hospital 10 Sep 1999 at age 76.
Wade was born 1923 in Seminole Co., Ga., son of Oklahoma ("Homer") Faircloth and Ruby Hardwick.

Wade had lived in Bainbridge most of his adult life. He was a retired truck driver in the timber logging business. He was a member of Salem Baptist Church in Seminole Co.

He was the widow of Ruth L. Hale who died in 1996. Wade served in the US Navy during World War II.

Burial was at Roselawn Gardens Cemetery in Bainbridge.

Surviving are daughters Rose Faircloth Baxley and Betty Faircloth English, both of Bainbridge; sons Dennis and Wayne ("Buddy") Faircloth, both of Bainbridge; sister Madell ("Mae") Faircloth Walker, Tallahassee, Fl.; brothers William Earl (Earl) Faircloth, Citrus Springs, Fl. and Carl Faircloth, Bainbridge; grandchildren: Todd and Gina Baxley and Candice R. English and Mystie English Norton; and 2 great grandsons.

Wade was a grandson of William Mathew Faircloth and Florence Plowden; great grandson of Mathew Faircloth and Clarissa Sasser; gg grandson of Thomas Faircloth.

ELIZABETH EAKIN FAIRCLOTH
Wife of James Marvin Faircloth

CAIRO, Ga.--Elizabeth Eakin ("Lizzie") Faircloth died 4 Dec. at age 81.
Lizzie was born 7 Mar., 1915 and was the adopted daughter of Ben Eakin and Mattie Byrd. She married James Marvin Faircloth 4 Dec., 1930. They had two sons and a daughter who died as an infant. James died in 1976.

James was the son of William Henry (Henry) Faircloth and Regina Adaline Lee; grandson of James Oliver Faircloth and Mary Ann Harrison; great grandson of Wilson Faircloth, a native of Sampson County, NC who moved to what is now Grady County, Ga. in the 1820's and Jane Jones (?); great great grandson of Samuel Faircloth Sr. and Axsey Sessoms; g.g.g. grandson of Benjamin Faircloth Sr.
Burial information unavailable but believed to be in the Faircloth Family Cemetery (#2) in Grady County where James was buried in 1976.
Survivors include sons Tommy Faircloth and Vann Spence Faircloth; several grandchildren.

ELOUISE FAIRCLOTH WERNER
Dies In Ocala, Fla.

OCALA, Fla.--Elouise Faircloth Werner died here 22 Oct., aged 69.
Elouise was born in 1928 in Levy County, Fla., daughter of Joseph William Faircloth Jr. and Emma Hogan. She was the grand-daughter of Joseph William Faircloth Sr. and Lavinia; great granddaughter of Daniel David Faircloth (a native of Thomas County, Ga. who was a Confederate Soldier) and Sarah Eliza; and great great granddaughter of Thomas Faircloth and Sophia. Elouise was married to a Mr. Werner who died several years ago. They had no children. She was predeceased by a brother, Maurice Harvey Faircloth.

Burial arrangements and other details unknown.
Survivors unknown. She had two other brothers, Earl Faircloth and Glynn Thomas Faircloth; and a sister, Norma Faircloth Anderson but it is not known if they survive. Her brother Earl served as a Representative in the Florida State Legislature and as the Attorney General of Florida.

RACHEL AUTRY FAIRCLOTH
Widow of Albert Blackman Faircloth

SALEMBURG, NC-- Rachel Frances Autry Faircloth died 24 Mar. at Mary Gran Nursing Center in Clinton, aged 86.

Rachel was born in 1914 in Sampson County, daughter of Miles Herman Autry and Sarah Elizabeth Faircloth. She married Albert Blackman Faircloth 1 Apr., 1938. They had three daughters and a son. She was a homemaker. Albert died in 1987.

Rachel was a descendant of the Faircloth family on both her father's side and mother, who were cousins. Her maternal grandparents were Caleb Faircloth and Rosa Anna Blackmon; paternal grandparents were Miles Coston Autry and Nancy Katherine Faircloth. She was a great granddaughter of Arthur Faircloth and Catherine Fisher; g.g. granddaughter of Samuel Faircloth and Achsah Sessoms. Her husband Albert was the son of Franklin Faircloth and Mittie Faircloth.

Funeral was conducted by Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro, with burial in the Roseboro Cemetery.

Survivors include daughters Flora Pearl (Pearl) Faircloth, wife of Lattie B. Faircloth, and Mary Liza Faircloth Hall, both of Autryville and Jennie Eva (Geneva) Faircloth, wife of Earnest Faircloth Jr., Salemburg; a son, Roy Herman Faircloth, Roseboro; 5 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren.

LEONARD WAYNE FAIRCLOTH
Dies in Shallotte, NC

SHALLOTTE, NC--Leonard Wayne Faircloth died 3 Nov. at age 44.
Burial was in Buck Creek Cemetery, Longs, SC.

Georgia Native Dies in Tampa

TAMPA, Fla.--John Calvin Faircloth died 24 Nov., aged 61.
He moved to the Tampa area from Tifton, Ga.

SHERWOOD A. FAIRCLOTH
NC Fireman & Wildlife Officer

RAEFORD, NC--Sherwood Allen Faircloth died at the Duke University Medical Center in Durham 4 Dec., aged 41.
Sherwood was in 1946 in Johnston County, NC, son of James Faircloth. He was a K-9 wildlife officer for the State of North Carolina, a member of the North Carolina Law Enforcement Association and the Raeford City Fire Department. He was also a member of the Goldsboro Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church and attended Raeford Church of God.
Burial was in Pikeville Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Diane H. Faircloth; mother, Theona K. Faircloth, Goldsboro and father, James Faircloth, Kernersville; sons, Anthony A. Fairlcoth and Bryan A. Faircloth, both of Raeford; sisters Carolyn Faircloth Everett, Anchorage, Ak., Mary E. Faircloth Klotz, Leonardtown, Md. and Kathy E. Faircloth, Goldsboro; brother, James E. Faircloth, Seven Springs; half sister, Bonnie K. Cox, Georgia.

ALISON FAIRCLOTH MOURLOT

HOPE MILLS, NC-- Alison Faircloth Mourlot died 6 Jan. at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, aged 32.

Burial was in Adcox Cemetery.

Survivors include her mother, Joyce Faircloth, Hope Mills; brothers Ronnie Waddell, Lumberton and John Faircloth, Fayetteville; paternal grandmother, Rena Faircloth, Stedman.

Can anyone let us know who the father and grandfather of Alison was?

MARIE FAIRCLOTH HAIR
Dies in Fayetteville, Age 75

STEDMAN, NC-- Marie Faircloth Hair died in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, aged 75.

Burial was in the Stedman Church of God of Prophecy Cemetery.

Survivors include daughters, Loretta Cloer, Fayetteville, Mavis Hair and Ann Bullard, both of Stedman; sons, Wayne hair and Earl W. Hair, both of Stedman and Weldon Hair, Jacksonville, Fl.; 11 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren.

Sorry, we have no background on Marie and do not know who her parents were.

ROBIE FAIRCLOTH
Retired Sampson Co. Farmer

ROSEBORO, NC-- Robie Faircloth died at his home near here 22 Mar., aged 81.

Robie was born 20 Mar., 1917 in Sampson County, son of Tony Faircloth and Gertie Lee Faircloth (cousins).

Burial was in Sunrise Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Roseboro.

Survivors include his wife, Sarah Elizabeth (Elizabeth) Williams Faircloth; daughters, Helen Janette Faircloth Cain, Clarkton and Addie Phyllis (Phyllis) Faircloth Worley ; sons Robie Dwight (Dwight) Faircloth, Roseboro and Roy Roger (Roger) Faircloth, Kernersville; 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren.
