ELIJAH HILL 1845 -- 1898 WVa.

I was wondering if anyone had any info on ELIJAH HILL (b 20 Jan 1845 -- 30 Sep 1898), mar in Sandyville, WVa. to SARAH HARTSHORN (b 8 June 1845 -- 20 May 1899). I believe he was born in Virginia. Thank you.

I am seeking information on my Grandfather JOHN CALHOUN ("Red"; "Arthur") HILL (25 May 1892, Ar. -- 22 Feb 1972) mar ROSIE E. PHILLIPS. I know he had at least one brother NEWTON OSCAR HILL (15 May 1897) and possibly others. Both are buried at Poteau, OK. John Calhoun Hill (known sometimes as Arthur or "Red" born May 25 1892. Anyone with any info, please contact me.

I am looking for info on the ancestors of ELI HILL Sr. (b 1811-1814 in NC -- aft 1870) who shows up in Cocke Co. Tn on the 1839 tax rolls. By 1850 THOMAS HILL moved in next to Eli and his family. I believe they were brothers. By 1870, Eli was in Sevier Co., Tn. My g grandfather RILEY H. MACK HILL and his brother ELI HILL Jr. both served in Co. I, 62nd Tennessee Infantry, Confederate States Army, during the War for Southern Independence which was mustered in at Cocke Co., Tn. Eli Sr. mar SARAH C. ("Sally") RAMSEY? (abt 1814 NC -- bef 1870). Their ch: WILLIAM HILL (abt 1834), ELI HILL Jr. (abt 1837) mar MARY ??? (abt 1839), ANGELINA HILL (abt 1839), RILEY H. MACK HILL (24 May 1843 in Newport, Cocke Co., Tn. -- 22 May 1906 in McNairy Co., Tn., mar RHODA CAROLINE BAUCOM (1 Sep 1848 in Anson Co., NC -- 25 Feb 1929 in McNairy Co.), ELIZABETH HILL (abt 1845), GEORGE W. THOMAS HILL (abt 1848), GREEN BERRY HILL (abt 1850), ALEXANDER J. HILL (abt 1854), MARGARET E. HILL (abt 1857) and MARY A. HILL (abt 1860).

THOMAS HILL (1816 NC) mar PHEBE ??? (1826 NC). Their ch: SAMUEL HILL (1838), SUSAN HILL (1843), JEFFERSON HILL(1845), WILLIAM HILL (1846), STRAND HILL ?, (1848), EMALINE HILL (1849), all born NC, ELI HILL (1850 Cocke Co.) and H. C. HILL (1856 NC). I would love to have info on these folk.
