DAVID ALLEN JOHNSON

I am looking for my father DAVID ALLEN JOHNSON (b 14 Jul 1941 in Pa.). and any other information leading to his family. I only know of his mother's name ONA, or Anna. She and her husband immigrated from Finland. David also had a grandfather by the name of Alexander; a sister JANET JOHNSON. He married once that I know of before my mother: my mother and he never married. His ex-wife's name was JUANITA. He had 2 other daus from this marriage, one I believed is CHRISTINA JOHNSON. When my mother met him, he was living in Tampa FL. and working at Continental Cans Inc. He also went to junior college in Tampa. He was in the Army as a Green Beret paratrooper and I believe he was in the Vietnam War. If you have any information of this family I would sincerely appreciate it...thanks

ROBERT QUITMAN WORTH JOHNSON

I am searching for ancestors of my g grandfather, ROBERT QUITMAN (or Quitrain) WORTH JOHNSON. He mar FLORENCE ELLEN FEWELL 24 Jul 1883 in Coryell Co., Tx. He was 17 and she was 21 at the time. I believe R. W. was born in AL. and his mother's name was ANNA. In the 1900 census, a woman named MALINDA is listed as a grandmother. We think she was Florence's grandmother. Florence is bur at New Lometa Cem. in Lometa, Tx. After her death, Robert remarried and is bur at Lometa Cem. My grandfather CURTIS JOHNSON told us that both R. W. and Florence were orphaned. This explains why we are having such a difficult time going beyond this generation.

WILLIAM C. JOHNSON
Abt 1800 - 1815 Ga.

I am looking for the family of WILLIAM C. JOHNSON who was born in GA. abt 1800-1815. He said on a census that his parents were born in Pensacola, so there is definitely some FL. connection, not too far back. William C. was a carpenter and farmer and moved to TN. and then to KY. He is on the Christian Co., KY. census in 1850. His wife was Elizabeth, born in TN. 1818-1823. Their children: JAMES V. JOHNSON (abt 1836 in TN.), GEORGE W. JOHNSON (abt 1840 TN.), JOHN B. JOHNSON (abt 1843 KY.), ALBERT DUNCAN JOHNSON, my ggrandfather (18 Mar 1847 in KY.), NANCY C. JOHNSON (abt 1848 in Ky.), FOLEY ANN JOHNSON (abt 1850 in KY.), MONTGOMERY B. JOHNSON (abt 1855) and SARAH E. JOHNSON (abt 1867 in Ky.). He was in McCracken Co., Ky in 1860 and Muhlenberg Co., KY. in 1870 and 1880, where I suppose he died. Does anyone know of Johnson's who came to GA. from FL. in the late 1700's? Would appreciate any help.
[EDITOR's NOTE: FLorida was Spanish territory in the 1700's; don't believe you will find any Johnsons there then]

JAMES H. JOHNSON
1855 Ga.

Searching for JAMES H. JOHNSON, b Sep 1855 in Ga. I believe he was a wheelwright (a wagon wheel maker); he was my ggrandfather. I have not been in a hurry to start this research because Johnson is a rather common name and I am fairly new to genealogy. I started in 1989--it is addictive. I got these details from my Grandmother before her death. James H. was born in Ga.; his 1st wife is unknown. They had 2 sons: JAMES W. JOHNSON (b 1885 in Ga.; mar BESSIE BROOKS 31 Jan 1920) and CHARLIE W. JOHNSON (Feb 1888). James H. mar Mrs. MARY CASINANDER JOHNSON DRENNON 1 Feb 1894 at Rome, Ga. Mary was b at Stone Mountain, Ga. She had mar J. B. DRENNON 25 Apr 1886; he d bef 1894. They had 3 sons: Thomas L. Drennon (May 1887); Joseph C. Drennon (Jan 1890); and John D. Drennon (1892). James H. Johnson and Mary had 3 ch: LILLIAN LEE JOHNSON (21 Jul 1895 Rome, Ga.--12 Feb 1896 Fairfield Co., SC); GILMORE JOHNSON ( 1900 Rome) and FRANCIS JOHNSON (1903 Rome). Lillian was my grandmother; she mar AUGUSTINE GILMORE JUSTUS 28 Sep 1912 at Rome. Lillian said Mary Johnson was a Johnson who mar a Drennon first, then a Johnson. My Grandmother said her daddy James H. was the person who gave the lumber to help construct the first building for Berry College at Rome.
