Looking for family of WILLIAM THOMAS JOHNSON (1838-1915), buried in
Buffalo Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Prince Edward Co, VA. His first wife
was MARY ??? and his second wife was LUCY W. CARY, m 1878. His
siblings were BEULAH JOHNSON (mother - Lucy) and KATE JOHNSON
(mother - Mary). He was a Captain of the Appomattox Greys and was said to be
from Richmond, born in Henrico Co., VA and died in Petersburg. I believe he was
the first sheriff of Appomattox Co. after the War for Southern Independence
where they noted he had not been on the census before the war. ALBERT
JOHNSON (1813-1895) and ELIZABETH H. GUILL are buried in the same
cemetery. Albert was possibly married before and this wife could have been W.
T.'s mom. I'm just guessing that Albert is the Dad (the dates fit) because I
cannot find a birth record for W.T. Some of this family might have lived in
Campbell Co. and Bedford Co. I am stuck! William probably had siblings - and
Albert, too. This part of VA. was a big part of the Presbyterian (Scot-Irish)
move south/west.

I am looking for my gg grandmother NELLIE REIGNA (Regina?) JOHNSON born in Ratovich, Sweden around 1870 she married HARRY S. MILLER who may have been from
Lebanon, Pa. and is buried near there. He was a gold miner in Alaska in the
late 1800's. They lived in California for a while also. Their ch: MABLE
AMBER MILLER b late 1880's - 1890. After Harry died, Nellie mar DANIEL
ROTH. They may have lived near Pennsylvania, since my grandmother remembers
them taking her to the shore when she lived in Philadelphia in 1917-1918.
Nellie's mother supposedly was French and married Swedish nobility - her name
may have been RENEE'.
