PINE, La.-- Evonne Murphy Williams died at the Ochsner Foundation Hospital 7 Jan 1999 at age 65.

Evonne was born in Marion Co., Ms., the daughter of Nita Edrie ("Eddie") Turnage and Robert E. Murphy, natives of Marion Co., Miss. Evonne was married to Louis ("Bud") Williams who preceded her in death.

Burial was in the Williams Cemetery, Oak Grove, La.

Survivors include daughters Virginia Williams, Pine, La. and Sharon Williams, Ponchatoula, La.; sons Robert ("Buddy") Williams, Albany, La., Lonnie Williams, Pearl River, La., Joey and Rocky Williams, both of Ponchatoula and Danny Williams, Ashland, Oh.; sisters Aline Murphy Foy, Ponchatoula, Elizabeth Murphy Shar, Albany and Rosalie Murphy Horn, Crestview, Fl.; brothers Omer and James Edward Murphy both of Robert, La., William E. Murphy, Plaquemine, La., Ronald Murphy, Harahan, La. and Robert Charles Murphy, Independence, La.; 26 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren.

Evonne was the granddaughter of William Elia ("Buddy") Turnage Sr. and Ledocia ("Docia") Williamson; g granddaughter of Robert Daniel Turnage and Martha Ellen Piggott; gg granddaughter of Jesse Turnage (of Greene Co., and Duplin Co., NC) and Martha Shathford.

JAMES TEAURLIN TURNAGE
Dies In Tickfaw, Louisiana

TICKFAW, La.-- James Teaurlin Turnage died at home here 16 Dec., aged 73.

Teaurlin was born in Wadesboro, La., son of Hiram Celestine Turnage and Birdie Hagg.

Burial was in Wetmore Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Sally Russo Turnage; daughters, Celestine ("Tean") Turnage Lessard, Ponchatoula, Robin Gay Turnage Ward, Springfield and Janice Lee Turnage, Tickfaw; son, Kenneth Paul Turnage, Alaska; sisters, Melba Turnage Brown, Chalmette and Gwen Turnage Graves, McComb, Ms.; brother, Isaac Joseph ("Ike") Turnage, Wadesboro; 8 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a grandchild, a brother, Mervin Rousseau.

Teaurlin was a grandson of Hiram Celestine ("Sugar") Turnage and Birdie Hagg; great grandson of Robert Lee Turnage and Celestine Holmes; g.g. grandson of Hiram Turnage Sr. and Margaret Jane Arnold; ggg grandson of Thomas Turnage and Mary Olivia Beavers.

WILLIAM RAYFORD TURNAGE

DUNN, NC -- William Rayford Turnage, infant son of Lloyd Marion Rayford Turnage and Margie Murphy of Dunn, died 20 Dec., 1999 at the University of North Carolina Hospital in Chapel Hill.

Graveside services were held at Devotional Gardens Cemetery near Dunn.

Survivors include his parents; maternal grandparents Frank and Martha Murphy, Beulaville, NC; paternal grandparents, Lloyd C. & Viola Turnage and Viola; great grandmother Mrs. Viola B. Turnage and the late Floyd C. Turnage of Jacksonville, NC. He was the gg grandson of Elonzo L. Turnage and Rovira Jernigan; ggg grandson of William S. Turnage and Sarah Stewart.

JULIUS B. ("Jesse") TURNAGE
Native of Marion Co., Ms.

FRANKLINTON, La.--Julius B. ("Jesse"; "J. B.") Turnage died at the Bogalusa Community Medical Center in Bogalusa, La. 15 Oct., 1998, aged 88.

J. B. was born in 1910 in Marion Co., Ms., son of William Elia ("Buddy") Turnage Sr. and Ledocia ("Docia") Williamson. J. B. was a Pentacostal Church minister. He was a member of the Lighthouse Pentacostal Church in Sheridan, La.

He was the widow of Addie Lee Smith.

Burial was at Turnage Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery near Columbia, Ms.

Surviving are a daughter, Janie Smith Turnage, Franklinton; sons Jimmy Turnage, Franklinton, Douglas and Julius Turnage, both of Bogalusa and Wayne Turnage, Foxworth; 13 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren.

J. B. was a grandson of Robert Daniel Turnage and Martha Ellen Piggott; g grandson of Jesse Turnage of Greene and Duplin Counties, NC and Martha Shathford.

MATTIE EMMA TURNAGE FELDER

PONCHATOULA, La.-- Mattie Emma Turnage Felder died 27 May 1998 at the North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond, age 92. Mattie was born in Tangipahoa Parish, La., daughter of Isaac Hiram (Hiram) Turnage Jr. and Anastasia Inez ("Tessie") Lavigne.

Mattie was married to Roy Leon Felder Sr., who died several years ago. She was also predeceased by sons Eugene Roy Felder and Roy L. Felder Jr.

Mattie was a Roman Catholic. She was also active in the Willing Workers Chapter of Family and Community Education here.

Burial was in Wetmore Cemetery here.

Survivors include daughters Ethel H. Vicknair, Mattie L. Ourso and Lynda L. Simon, all of Ponchatoula.

Mattie was a granddaughter of Hiram Turnage Sr. and Margaret Jane Arnold; g grandaughter of Thomas Turnage and Mary Olivia Beavers, who came to Louisiana from Tennessee in the 1820's.
