WolfFrom the shadows eyes peer so steadily surness graces whole stalking moonlit paths Nose lifts to sky savoring textures of life Fall air crisp with challenge so many choices This night I hunt instinct sure... cold and clear calm purpose Den so far need cries out from life within to this heart Driven by duty held by needs wolf's life is a covenant |
Owl RisesThe Evening shimmers Light and shadows blending on the edge not defined or clear Eyes open to this world clearly seeing Life and death Choosing Life Spirit rising to power wings at first glidding then truly flying Through the shadows Darkness and night choosing each gift to take into the light This owl flies dark of wing silently winging heart growing stronger to the light and nest She is golden sitting in the light Strong and fierce having survived the night |
Steps to the SunBrands against the heart Child's wail of fear heritage of anger fierce resolve Years stride by unrelenting time permitting no contrition soothing no heart sundered peoples lift eyes no longer dim to the plains to the mountains Addressing the stars woman's song uniting tribal chants lifting warrior heads proud this land this heart this soul is returning to us these Nations shall see the stars walk other lands be whole |
