The Time Line...with documentation as follows
In the 1910 Polk Co census, Ira, Frank, Columbus, Roan, Evin nor George are listed. This is the year after their dad, Augustus passed. I have no idea where they were this year??? From what Dad has said, this may have been the years that Ira worked for Capt. Clay Johnson on the riverboats.
Next, Ira appears on the Civilian Draft Registration 1917-18 with his brother's Frank and Columbus registering in Osceola County. Brothers Roan, Evin & George all registered in Polk Co.
*Note Okeechobee County was formed in 1917 from Osceola Co. Ira's son was born in 1918 in Okeechobee Co at the Ice House!
By 1920, Okeechobee Co Census dated 1-1-1920, shows Ira & Dollie with son, Wilbur and brother George, living in the same household. The brothers are both working as fishermen.
According to Wilbur, the family moved down to the Sandcut area of Lake Okeechobee
