RULES & REGULATIONS

I. In General

1.

All teams must register within their correct age division and competition level. Teams that
misrepresent themselves will be forfeited out of all trophy competition.

2.

Where applicable, advertised early registration discounts will only be accepted up until
the date indicated.

3.

All teams must have their completed roster submitted prior to their first game. There are
no drops or adds after the roster has been received. Teams that do not have a roster on
file prior to the competition will be subject to disqualification from trophy competition.

4.

There are no refunds after the advertised early registration date. Any team that withdraws
from the tournament after that date will not receive a refund.

5.

If the tournament is canceled in whole or shortened in part for any reason, including
inclement weather or any other "Act of God," no refunds will be given.

6.

The Tournament organizers and the Four Seasons Sports Complex will not be
responsible for any expenses incurred by any team, club or organization if the
tournament is postponed or canceled in whole or in part. The Tournament Committee
reserves the right to decide on all matters pertaining to the operation of the tournament
and its judgment is final.

7.

No team will be registered or bracketed into the Tournament until all fees and
appropriate registration has been received.

ANY QUESTIONS REGARDING RULES SHOULD BE DIRECTED TO THE OFFICIALS
 ON SITE.  WE URGE YOU TO CONSULT THE OFFICIALS BEFORE YOUR GAME.

GENERAL RULES


DURATION

All games will be 24 minutes in length.

TIME OUTS

Each team is allowed one 30-second time out (the clock will stop). 
No time outs will be allowed during the final 2 minutes of the game.

INJURIES

The clock will run during injuries except at the discretion of the referee.

ROSTER

Roster size is unlimited, however, only 12 individual trophies per team will
be awarded. Rosters must be turned in prior to your first game. High
School level teams will need to bring several additional copies of their
roster including players' uniform numbers.

AGE 
DETERMINATION

Age as of January 1, 2006. Coaches must be prepared to present
age verification of any player on their roster at any time during
the tournament:
i.e. photo id, birth certificate copy, etc.

High School players, as mandated by rule, must play in the 15-18 Age
Brackets regardless of age eligibility.

COMPETITION SIZE

All teams will compete with six field players and a goalkeeper. 
Teams may start with a minimum of 4 players and a keeper.

IN-PLAY BALLS

Balls played off any part of the net dividing the two fields are in play.
Also, balls played off the vertical surfaces of the green tarps on the
side walls are in play.

OUT-OF-PLAY BALLS

Balls which hit above the team bench areas, above the rebound
surface of the goal, or which hit any part of the superstructure are
NOT in play.

SOCCER GOALS

If the ball enters a soccer goal and is uncontested, play will continue.
A contested ball will be whistled dead and play will be restarted.

4-GOAL FREE CLEAR

If the difference in the score is 4 goals or greater, the losing team
gets possession of the ball after each goal, regardless of which team
has scored.

TIEBREAKER

For ties at the end of "Pool Play," the following procedure will be used to break the tie:

  • a. Most Wins
  • b. Head to Head Competition
  • c. Fewer Goals Allowed
  • d. Goal Differential (Max. 3 per Game) Goals scored minus goals allowed.
  • e. Coin Toss


GIRLS RULES

Full team stick checks will be conducted prior to the game and on request.

A minimum of two players and the goalkeeper must remain behind the
restraining line at all times.

9-10 AGE GROUP

Only stick checking below the waist is permitted.

A minimum of two (2) passes must be made prior to a shot on goal.
The goalie's clear is considered a pass.

No triple teaming.

11-12 AGE GROUP

Stick checking is permitted.

A minimum of two (2) passes must be made prior to a shot on goal.
The goalie's clear is considered a pass.

No triple teaming.

13-14 & 15-17
AGE GROUPS


Strict USWLA rules.

High School players, by rule, must play in the 15-18 Age Brackets
regardless of age eligibility.

BOYS RULES

RESTRAINING LINE

A minimum of two players and the goalkeeper must remain behind the
mid-line of the field at all times.

LONG STICKS

One long stick will be allowed.
