Koko Knoll

Let It Shine

On maiden bloom, the seedlings were screened for strong growth habits, good form, strong substance, and interesting color/pattern. Twenty-one were saved for evaluation and the next round narrowed the field to six.

89-25-2

Best of its type, but simply competing against too many yellows.

89-25-6 The only pseudoplicata seedling from this cross.
89-25-7 Intensely veined & dotted. Similar to Son of Boaz, which bumped it from consideration because it had a very similar look but better breeding potential for the pseudoplicata pattern. .
89-25-8 Intricately veined and dotted, with the dotted type of signal that's typical of the susiana group.
89-25-9 From a slight distance, this appears to be a chocolate brown self with yellow-orange beard.  Up close, you can see that it's actually so heavily dotted, veined, and washed as to appear almost solid.  Small black signal.  In retrospect, one I most regret not introducing.
89-25-14 Very delicate colors and pattern, unusual in a halfbred.
