In the present system, any cultivar that has the same number of sets of aril chromosomes as it has non-aril chromosomes is classified as an OB, RB, or OGB.  These are commonly called halfbreds, because that was the predominant type under the old quantum system.

This page presents the results of a form of linebreeding:  crosses between members of the fertile family of halfbreds. All offspring are expected to be fully fertile as these crosses produce only OB, RB and OGB offspring and are thus relatively easy to evaluate.  In many cases, I've included

The first section dates to the period in which I numbered crosses when I lined out the seedlings and seedlings when they were selected to save for further evaluation and possible introduction.  The numbers are therefore no indication of the number of crosses made or the number of seedlings produced by each cross.
