LOVE

A child loves his teddy bears,
His cars, her dolls, their toys,
Their mommy and their daddy, too,
And countless other joys.

But, as they grow love changes,
Like season after season,
The things they love come and go
Without much thought or reason.

All at once things start to slow,
Love takes a different meaning
Boys spend a lot of time with cars,
Girls spend all their time dreaming.

Then there's that someone special,
And a new love fills the heart,
Time flies when they're together,
And it's hard to be apart.

Soon they join in marriage,
And with God blessing from above,
They find they have a new joy,
As they wait a child to love.

And so it goes full circle,
Love never has an end.
Just when you think you're out of love,
There's more of it to spend.
