Stacey Scott

My life is a painting
bright, exciting colors,
pastel colors
all touched lovingly
to my canvas. The
people who have
contributed to me
each hold a brush.
Some dark colors
appear now and again -
I take the turpentine
and carefully remove
them. A light stain
remains, but the
bright dark colors draw
attention away from it.
I now hold the biggest brush.
I paint soft clouds,
bright sunrises and
beautiful landscapes.
I paint places,
wonderful people and
unique experiences.
I paint energy, vitality,
hope, strength, and love.
I can paint anything.
there is no box, no
canvas too large.
I am the master,
the great artist,
the creator of
my life.

Stacey Scott.

The three main parts of Stacey Scott's life are volunteerism, writing,
and spirituality. The mind-spirit connection is very important to
Stacey; she sees life as a continuing personal growth process. "My
mother is my greatest influence. My mother always volunteered her time
in the community and she is the example I follow." Stacey believes
spirituality is all encompassing and not religion specific, and each
faith and different theological interpretations offer some comfort to
everyone. Stacey keeps a journal and has written poetry for many years.
Mostly, she writes to help get ideas in focus, to express her
creativity, and to release emotions.
