Korky's ashes now reside in the beautiful urn pictured at left (purchased
from www.paws2heaven.com). You can
click the image to enlarge. Each side includes a picture of Korky at a
different stage in his life.
Smart, handsome, and loyal, Korky will always hold a special place in my heart that no
one will ever be able to replace. He granted me just over 13 years of his wonderful
companionship, and I am so thankful for the years we had together. I know that
he will wait for me at the rainbow bridge. His body may be gone, but his spirit will
alway live within my heart, and my memories of him will always keep him alive.

at less than 1 year, 3 years, 8 years, and 12 1/2 years (a few months
before his death).

Rainbow Bridge
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal who has been especially close to someone dies,
that pet goes to the Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special
friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food and water and sunshine,
and our friends are warm and comfortable. Animals who were ill and old are restored to
health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as
we remember them from days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one thing: they
miss someone very special to them; the person they left behind. All of the animals run and
play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His
bright eyes are intent; his eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to break away from the
group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend
finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. Happy kisses
rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into
the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your
heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together
