April 24, 1994. A man sits down at his computer and signs onto Prodigy. Saddened by a major life change, he posts a note. He simply asked why things happen and what happens next. Somewhere out there, a woman signs onto Prodigy as well. Simply to enjoy the company of newly acquired friends in cyberspace. At that moment fate interceded. A quick, accidental click of her mouse took her on a journey to another section she had never explored before. A small voice told her not to turn back. In the next instant she was drawn to a note the man had posted. An overwhelming desire washed through her soul. She wrote a note of encouragement to him. Still being guided by that voice, she then went to the membership list to get an idea of where this stranger lived. He was somewhere out there, but he could be anywhere in the U.S.A. As she found his information a jolt of electricity went through her.......she was witnessing the power of destiny......

Early the next morning the man found the letter from the lady . He then sent her an e-mail and opened his heart to her. The lady, even more mesmerized, wrote back. She then quickly sent a second e-mail "A local call is cheaper than an e-mail" (In those days you had to pay per e-mail!) The man fell over chairs to get to a phone book. Could this be? Astounded, but a bit afraid, he e-mailed her back instead. In the course of one short day, e-mails furiously flew back and forth. . Both the man and the woman presented their entire life to the other. Despite all that, neither realized the miracle that was to unfold. At 5:30 the man called the woman. Not only did they live in the same town, they were only 2 miles apart! They discovered their lives had been running parallel for 5 years. The man's close friend and co-worker lived in the house across the street from the lady. Their kids were in the same school. They decided to meet the next day for lunch......
