The Twin Princes
Old King Chanticleer has been busy ruling his kingdom. He hasn't paid much attention to his twin sons, Henry and Fowler. He doesn't know what is in their hearts. They seem so alike to him that he can't decide which prince should one day inherit his throne. He does know how much they love to ride their horses. So he plans a horse race--one that will determine the next king. But the race is a riddle for the princes and for you, the reader, to solve!
I've been wanting to tell this story since long before my first book, No Jumping on the Bed. My dad asked me this horse race riddle when I was just a boy. I couldn't figure it out. Let's see if YOU can!
