Dodger was 5 weeks old when we adopted him... he was daddy's little lap dog then, and things haven't changed (much)!

Dodger was born on MCAS Iwakuni, Japan, on March 8, 1997. His parents were both from American military families living on base. He was one of a litter of 11 puppies, all of whom were originally adopted by families on base (or who work on base). Most of the puppies were still in Iwakuni when we left ... at least four (including Dodger) have gone back to the states; a few have new families there. Dodger enjoyed playing with many of his family members, but especially his brother Gunner, and his niece Roxy and nephew Loki, who all live in Monzen housing. His sister Dutchess, who lived across the street, moved about the same time we did, and Kimba went to the States quite a while ago! In the summer of '97, when the puppies were a few months old, there was a "family reunion"... all but one of the puppies got together to see each other and their parents, Brandy and Marvin and to say goodbye to dad and a sister, who were leaving for the states! There was a second reunion in '98, when they were just over a year old!
